After college I worked as an analytical chemist. When you work in a laboratory there’s a safety sheet for every chemical. Besides the health, environmental, and safety hazards they also tell you how much of this chemical is needed to kill 50% of mice.

I don’t know how it started but you remember the 80’s? We read the shampoo bottle in the shower and the cereal box while we were eating. I couldn’t tell you the moment things changed but I remember one day I read the ingredients and I paused because I recognized an ingredient from the lab.

That’s when I began reading all the ingredients and I started to see things differently. Sure they don’t put the amount needed to kill 50% of mice in one package of food, but I wondered what happens on the cellular level. What happens if you buy chemicals X, Y, and Z at the grocery store repeatedly? No one is studying these chemicals in combination by the way.

Yes, I recognize that too much water or too much salt can disturb the body’s equilibrium, but what about the chemicals other countries have already banned? Couldn’t we start by banning those in the states?

If I wanted to conduct a research study where I’d feed you random chemicals in random quantities for 70–80 years I doubt anyone would sign up. Yet, this is what our food system has become. Look around, we have more health information and gadgets than ever yet our collective health continues to decline.

Even more infuriating, American food companies currently make cleaner versions of their products for European markets. Today the American diet is 70% processed food, that is, food filled with chemicals for various reasons. Some make the food shelf stable, others enhance the taste and flavor, and some are simply there to make you eat more than you normally would.

The worst crime is that we color people with poor health as lazy and unmotivated. Nothing could be further from the truth. Your body is a biochemistry experiment, not a bank. It’s the reason why earning and burning calories has a 97% failure rate long term.

I’m here to tell you it’s not your fault. You simply need someone to show you a holistic approach that you can use for as long as you wish.

As your coach I serve as an educator and mentor. I’ll teach you about nutrient density, how to get better sleep, and a sensible approach to fitness to promote longevity. Realizing that I can’t coach everyone I write so that I can reach people.

Getting healthy should be an enjoyable process. When you know what works it’s easy to adopt better lifestyle choices because it doesn’t feel like a diet. You don’t need someone yelling over you in a bootcamp. No Pain, No Gain eventually loses its steam and most people end up back where they started.

You need an approach that lasts and that has always been my goal. I want our time together to be the last “thing” you try to get healthy.

No One Should Lose Their Health From The Necessary Act Of Eating - JenniferMichelle.co My Professional Background & Personal Journey:

Jennifer began her clean eating journey when she worked as an analytical chemist. Seeing chemical safety sheets in the lab and also the supermarket sent up a red flag.

Despite eating pretty well her body's chronic stiffness became worse with age. Before her 40th birthday she noticed that she'd hobble after getting up from a chair. A mother to a 2 year old she knew chronic stiffness wasn't going to work and true old age wouldn't be fun if she didn't figure it out.

In 2014 she tried Whole 30 for the first time and has followed the primal lifestyle ever since. Recognizing the impact food and lifestyle played in her chronic stiffness and joint pain Jennifer became a Certified Primal Health Coach in 2016.

Professionally she holds a BS in Environmental Science and she's a Licensed Massage Therapist who specializes in Myoskeletal Alignment.

Jennifer will turn 50 in 2024 and it hasn't slowed her down. She and her son have been working toward their black belt in Taekwondo. In 2022 her goal is to complete her yoga teacher certification so she can bring online classes to her followers.
